Lake Asphalt of Trinidad and Tobago (1978) Limited is a state enterprise involved in the mining, processing and exporting of asphalt and asphalt related products for over one hundred years. It is a global organization with distributors and alliances throughout world.
Our flagship product, Trinidad Lake Asphalt (TLA), mined from the Pitch Lake in La Brea is a premium quality enhancer for refinery bitumen and is used in a number of applications worldwide, including the paving of some of the largest roadways, highways, bridge decks, racetracks and airport runways across the globe.
Lake Asphalt also manufactures and markets a range of Cationic Bitumen Emulsions, a range of TLA based coatings branded as TLA coatings- Range of Products, a mixture of TLA and Refinery Bitumen known as TLA Blend (AC) and is a distributor of Refinery Bitumen, all of which are used locally and exported regionally and internationally.
