Annand Jagesar, Managing Director of Staatsolie, during Day 2 of the Regional and Local Energy Update, highlighted key developments in the sector. He noted that TotalEnergies has announced its investment decision, which will result in production of 220,000 barrels per day. Additionally, Petronas’ gas discovery in Block 52 exceeded expectations following testing. Jagesar also shared that three more promising exploration projects are underway: Block 64, with drilling expected in 2025, and Blocks 5 and 65, with drilling anticipated by the end of this year.
